Celebrating the 80th VE Day at Greenway Junior School

The children had a wonderful day celebrating the 80th VE Day.

We had an inspiring whole school assembly, where the children and staff paused to observe a 2-minute silence, reflecting on the significance of this historic day, we also joined together in singing memorable wartime songs. The children decorated Union Flag  bunting, adding a splash of colour and patriotism to our outdoor picnic area.

We were fortunate to have lovely weather, making the picnic a delightful experience for everyone. It was a memorable occasion, filled with learning, reflection, and community spirit.
