Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)
At Greenway, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) is delivered through the Growing Up with Yasmine and Tom programme at designated points throughout the school year. The curriculum is taught in an age-appropriate and progressive manner, supporting pupils to develop an understanding of relationships, growing up, personal safety, and health. Parents and carers are invited into school prior to the delivery of RSE units to meet with year group teams, discuss the content being taught and ask any questions. Parents are also provided with access to lesson materials in advance to ensure transparency and to support conversations at home. This partnership approach helps ensure that families are informed and engaged in their children's learning.
Careers and Future Thinking
Careers education forms part of Greenway's pupil development offer and is designed to broaden aspirations, challenge stereotypes and help pupils understand future pathways. Opportunities are delivered termly through curriculum links, visitors, enrichment experiences, assemblies, themed events and an annual Careers Week. Activities are linked to SCARF themes and support pupils in making connections between learning, future opportunities and personal ambition.
