Greenway Pupils Explore Art and Democracy
Last week, our Learning Leaders enjoyed an inspiring visit to Tate Britain, while our School Councillors had the exciting opportunity to visit Houses of Parliament.
The School Councillors took part in a guided tour of Parliament, where they explored the historic surroundings and learned more about how the UK is governed. The visit concluded with a fantastic Q&A session with John Milne, giving the children a valuable chance to ask questions and deepen their understanding.
Meanwhile, the Learning Leaders had a wonderful time at Tate Britain, where they explored a wide range of artwork and learned about British art and culture. They enjoyed a tour of the gallery and took part in engaging activities, including sketching and interactive sessions that brought the art to life. The Learning Leaders will be bringing their knowledge and ideas back to school to bring a Greenway Gallery to life in the Summer Term.
All of the children had a fantastic time, learning many new things along the way. They demonstrated our core values throughout the trips and represented Greenway exceptionally well.
A big thank you to Miss Wright, Miss Neale, Mr Rogers, and Miss Baird for supporting and accompanying the children.
